Resources for Infant/Toddler Learning Environments From the Head Start Early Childhood Learning & Knowlege Center:Infants and toddlers learn best in environments where they can have secure relationships with caring and responsive adults, and where they feel safe and free to explore and learn. One key way infants and toddlers learn is by exploring their environment. Children will naturally be drawn to explore a space that is inviting. Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infection (RSV) RSV, is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms. Most people recover in a week or two, but RSV can be serious, especially for infants and older adults. RSV is the most common cause of bronchiolitis (inflammation of the small airways in the lung) and pneumonia (infection of the lungs) in children younger than 1 year of age in the United States.
