Bright Futures in Practice: Nutrition | The nutrition guide emphasizes prevention and early recognition of nutrition concerns and provides developmentally appropriate nutrition supervision guidelines for infancy through adolescence. The guide contains strategies and tools to help professionals provide nutrition supervision (including screening, assessment, and counseling) and promote partnerships with families and communities. In addition, the guide presents the latest information on special nutrition issues and concerns such as hyperlipidemia, hypertension, iron-deficiency anemia, eating disorders, obesity, sport nutrition, and vegetarian eating practices.
